Top level Entertainment without the city hassle
The proximity of WIlliamsport PA to major metropolitan centers fosters a thriving music and entertainment scene. Williamsport restaurants and clubs like Franco's Lounge, The Bullfrog Brewery, venues like the Community Arts Center & the Scottish Rite offer top level performances from concerts to broadway shows.
Penn State University affiliated Community Arts Center attracts acts like WIllie Nelson, John Michael Montgomery and Sara Evans, shows like Cats, Sesame Street Live, Riverdance, and Man of La Mancha to Billtown.
Williamsport area clubs take advantage of passing acts to offer music normally not available in towns as 'quaint' as Billtown.
Here are a few of our favorite Williamsport entertainment venues. If you have a favorite Billtown venue let us know on the Billtown Boards.
Franco's Lounge, Restaurant & Music Club - The food is not the only reason to visit Franco's, they have terrific music as well. Franco's is a regular Billtown stop for top blues musicians in the North East.
Bullfrog Brewery - Yes, the Bullfrog has exceptional beer but also some of the finest music and entertainment in Williamsport. Billtown Blond is their signature beer but their Smoked Porter is beyond fantastic.
The Cell Block - The old Williamsport jail turned night club. It's an ominous site in downtown Billtown but once you walk through the doors all questions are answered...Yep, you're in trouble.
Community Arts Center -
A restored theater, the Community Arts Center is a testament to craftsmanship often forgotten in today's plastic world. Few communities the size of Williamsport offer as spectacular a venue.
Bryce Jordan Center - In State Collage, home of Penn State University, the Bryce Jordan Center offers concerts, shows and events. It's just an hour from Williamsport and a fun trip through Amish country.
Billtown Blues Festival - The Billtown Blues Festival is designed to be an inexpensive all day event where attendees are permitted to bring food and beverage, creating a family picnic, festive atmosphere. It's really a family music event that has put Billtown square in the middle of the live Blues map.
Lycoming County Fair - The 137th annual Lycoming County Fair is on it's way. Known for it's entertainment and homey feel it's a Billtown favorite every year.
Bloomsburg Fair - 2007 marks the 153rd annual Bloomsburg Fair. One or the largest fairs in the state the Bloomsburg Fair offers top caliber entertainment on a family budget.
